Late Summer / Fall 2010 Group Lessons Please look below for explanation of class levels WEEKLY CLASSES Wednesdays August 4th - August 25th 7:00 Basic Beginners Hustle 8:00 Beginner level 1 Rumba September 15th - October 6th 6:00 Basic Beginner Bachata - taught by Diego Guzman 7:00 Latin Dance Review & Technique class - taught by Amanda Showell Cook In this 4 week session class we will be reviewing over the basic elements of the Rumba, Cha-cha and Salsa 8:00 Basic Beginner Argentine Tango - taught by Amanda Showell Cook October 13th - November 3rd 6:00 Beginner Level 1 Bachata - taught by Diego Guzman 7:00 Smooth Dance Review & Technique class - taught by Amanda Showell Cook In this 4 week session class we will be reviewing over the basic elements of the Waltz, Foxtrot and Tango 8:00 Beginner Level 1 Argentine Tango - taught by Amanda Showell Cook November 10th - December 8th ( no class Nov 24th) 6:00 Introduction to latin dancing - Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia - taught by Diego Guzman 7:00 Basic Beginner East Coast Swing - taught by Amanda Showell Cook 8:00 Basic Beginner Bolero - taught by Amanda Showell Cook Group lesson Cost: $55.00 non members / $50.00 members of QACAC This cost is per person. Discount will be applied for multiple classes taken in one evening Group lessons are 50 minutes long Please call Queen Anne County Arts Council at 410-758-2520 to register Sign up deadline is the Wednesday before the class start GROUP CLASS LEVELS: Basic Beginner - This class is for the student who has never danced or taken this dance before. Will start from the basic steps. Beginner Level 1- This class is a continuation of Basic Beginners, a few new steps will be added but a review of everything done in basic beginners will be given. A great way to continue a dance you really like Intermediate /level 2: A slightly more advanced class. You must know the basics of the dance or have attended Beginner level 1 before attending this class. Level 3 : This is an advanced class. You must have taken level 2 group lesson or have prior approval by Amanda to take this class. Private lessons are available in Centreville as well. Please call Amanda at 410- 482-6169 for available times If necessary we will rotate partners in group classes. If you are uncomfortable with this policy, feel free to talk with me about taking private lessons instead of group classes Inclement weather: In case of inclement weather or snow please call the QACAC 410-758-2520.
